Austrian pictures of Lutsk in the beginning of the twentieth century

Volynpost has shown little-known earlier photos of Lutsk, published on the web pages of Austrian Natuional Library.

Pictures were made at the time of the Austrian occupation of the city in 1915-1916, as it is stated in the article.

Photos are taken from interesting angles and record the history of the city, that was previously known only from stories.

On photos Lutsk at the beginning of the century: buildings, streets, landscapes, lost and preserved to this day attractions.

Most of all photos are made by the Special department employees, who photographed the occupied territories.

By the way, the Austrian National Library has already made publications of archive photographs of Lutsk. But the oldest photos of the city were published by Polish Digital Projects - National Library of Poland and the National Digital Archives.
