On these glorious lands in 2007 the idea of the Ukrainian alternative music and modern art festival “Bandershtat” was born. It is a cultural and art event, marked by patriotic content and spirit.
Today the festival presents literary performances, meetings with the Ukrainian Insurgent Army veterans, sporting and art events; but also includes discussions with famous politicians/public figures, patriotic flash mobs, an eternal flame, historical reconstructions, and evening film presesntations. The festival of Ukrainian spirit “Bandershtat” was proclaimed as a non-alcohol event.
Bandershtat is a powerful discussion platform for discussion of urgent issues of protection, conservation and enhancement of all that is UKRAINIAN.
The mission of the festival:
– the rise of Ukrainian national idea among young people and creative teams,
– the promotion of a vigor and healthy lifestyle,
– promotion of Ukrainian language, culture, values and native music.
