The Museum of Bells in Lutsk Castle is the only one museum of its kind in Ukraine. The museum contains bells from 17th -20th centuries. Bells from closed churches were brought here in the 1960s. Except from church bells the are bells serving firefighter, railroad, on the river pier, school bell. In total, the museum collection has more than 90 bells. Some bells are decorated with a small ornament for religious motives. The largest bells in the collection weigh almost half a ton. The oldest bell in the collection (dating back to 1647) is extremely rare in Ukraine, because many bells of that time were poured into guns during the Cossack wars. This bell remembers the times of Bohdan Khmelnytsky.
In winter time, museum is open to visitors from 10.00 to 17.00.
